Overview

We provide technical consulting for the development and design of wind turbines.
We analyze aerodynamic loads for design data and conduct simulations for design certification and site suitability assessment in accordance with IEC standards.
Our extensive portfolio includes "Wind Turbine Design Support" (model construction, new development support, component support), "Design Load Evaluation via Aero-elastic Analysis," "Seismic Response Analysis," and analysis for both fixed-bottom and floating offshore wind turbines.
We also perform "Reproduction Analysis" for fault investigation on actual turbines and "Wake Induced Load Analysis."

Aeroelastic, Servo-, Hydro- dynamic loads, and Aero-acoustic Analysis

We perform aeroelastic analysis using industry-standard codes such as "BLADED," "HAWC2," and "OpenFAST."
We conduct conformity assessments compliant with international standards, considering all required combinations of operating states and external conditions (both meteorological and oceanic).
We flexibly combine analysis codes to support diverse objectives, including design support for new wind turbine concepts.
We also predict and evaluate aerodynamic noise from turbine blades using simulation tools such as "FAST."

Wind Turbine Model Construction and Customization

We support the construction of new wind turbine models, analysis using RWT models (*), and customization.
*RWT (Reference Wind Turbine) Model: Publicly available models developed through public reaserches including IEA Tasks.
Because commercial turbine data are proprietary, we perform analysis using encrypted models, RWT models, or customized RWT models.
We can also modify wind turbine models to support specific component development.

Seismic Response Analysis

We conduct seismic response analysis considering aerodynamic forces and control system behavior.
We have extensive experience analyzing various conditions, including foundation/ground modeling and seismic wave configuration.
We analyze loads on foundations, towers, and blades to support the certification evaluation process.
Our results serve as critical data for seismic design, safety evaluation, and conformity assessment (certification).

Offshore Wind Turbine Solutions

We conduct coupled analysis of offshore turbines and support structures, providing design support based on site-specific environmental conditions.
We perform coupled analysis of the turbine, substructure, and mooring system for floating wind turbines using codes like "BLADED."
We use marine dynamic analysis software like "OrcaFLEX" and fluid dynamics software like "WAMIT" to evaluate hydrodynamic forces and motion of floating structures.
Our analysis complies with offshore standards (IEC 61400-3-1, IEC 61400-3-2), covering external conditions (waves, currents) and floating-specific Design Load Cases (DLCs).
We develop and tune control models considering floating motion, as well as models for mooring, ballast water, and elastic deformation of floating platform.
